The perception of myself reveals to me a number of qualities which I combine into my personality as a whole. How do I perceive myself as a student? ‘Student’ mean pupils who are still studying in schools, colleges, and universities. The process from being a student to an adult who is already working takes a very long time. A student normally starts their education from schools, then high school, and lastly colleges or universities. Students have a very significant responsibility towards their life, studies, and also their parents.
How do I see myself as a student? I see myself as a responsible person towards my education. For me, education or studies are very important and I realized this since I was in primary school. My father always advice and reminds me that studies are very essential for my future life, that is the reason I take my studies very seriously. In primary school, I only learn the basic information in all subjects that I need to know. When comes to high school, studies became tougher and I had to struggle to achieve flying colours results. Finally, now I’m studying in a university that is University Tenaga Nasional. These are the stages I need to know to go through to go to a higher level of education.
Besides that, ‘students’ doesn’t mean all about education and studies. I’m still a student in a university and I learn a lot of things over here. I had to be an independent person. There are no parents, siblings, or relations to take care of me. I have to take care of myself and do all the stuffs on my own. For instance, I have to wash my own clothes, cook myself, and clean my room. On the other hand, I also need to be an independent when I need to find information. As we all know that lecturers will not give us additional information about what he or she taught. So, I have to find out myself in my campus library.
In a nutshell, I see myself as a responsible and an independent student. When I combine both of this quality, it reveals my personality as a whole.
